Anchor Point is more than a state-of-the-art venue in the heart of Birmingham, hosting hundreds of events each year. It is a place of purpose, hope, and transformation. As a social enterprise of Betel UK, a Christian charity, Anchor Point exists to help men and women rebuild their lives after homelessness and drugs or alcohol addiction.
Anchor Point is home to Betel UK’s headquarters and several of its social enterprises, including Rising Café restaurant and catering, On Point Salon, Anchor Point Events, and Infinite Arts. Behind every coffee served, every performance staged, and every event hosted are people whose lives have been changed. Many of the men and women leading and serving in these spaces have overcome addiction themselves and are now training, supporting, and inspiring others on their journey to recovery.

Anchor Point is a dynamic, one-of-a-kind community outreach and skills-training centre in Birmingham, a practical, caring response to the complex needs of inner-city lives.
Building on Betel UK’s 25-year track record as a national charity helping the marginalised, homeless and addicted, Anchor Point will address head-on the hardships of social exclusion, substance dependencies, family breakdown and unemployment in one of Britain’s most under-resourced urban wards.
The three-fold vision is: to create a thriving community hub that integrates seven family-friendly businesses, each serving the public, that simultaneously deliver a range of employment skills and addiction-recovery training all under one roof.

Betel UK is a Christian charity supporting people facing addiction, homelessness, and long-term unemployment through free residential recovery programmes built around community, work, and faith. It operates centres across the UK – including Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham, Derby, Hexham and Motherwell – providing safe, structured environments where people can rebuild their lives.
As part of a global network, Betel supports over 2,400 residents at any one time and has helped more than 200,000 people worldwide since 1985. In the UK alone, over 9,200 individuals have entered its centres since 1996, reflecting its long-term impact on restoring lives and promoting independence.
